Crossbasket Castle Wedding

George and Hannah

A Romantic Crossbasket Castle Wedding

Hannah and George’s Crossbasket Castle wedding was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I love being a Glasgow wedding photographer. From the moment the day began, their celebration was filled with warmth and laughter making it a joy to document from start to finish.

‘We love the photos. Thank you so much.’

George & Hannah

Morning Preparations with Zuzu

The day started at Hannah’s parent’s home, where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was lively with hair and makeup underway and plenty of laughter in between. This time of the day is perfect for capturing natural, candid images.

One of Hannah’s must-have photos was with her dog Zuzu, so I spent a little time in the garden capturing some relaxed portraits of them together. The garden also provided a lovely backdrop for family and bridesmaid photos before everyone headed off to the ceremony.

Ceremony & Confetti

The ceremony took place at the Old Parish Church in Denny, which was filled with guests as Hannah walked down the aisle with her dad. The church was beautifully lit with natural light , allowing me to capture the emotions and atmosphere throughout the ceremony.

Afterwards, guests formed what was easily one of the longest confetti lines I’ve ever organised,  stretching right around the church. It made for a fun moment and some great photographs.

Crossbasket Castle Wedding Reception

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to Crossbasket Castle, one of Glasgow’s most iconic wedding venues. With its 15th-century history and elegant surroundings , it’s always a fantastic location for Crossbasket Castle wedding photography. Drinks were enjoyed outside on arrival, which gave me the perfect opportunity to capture family group photos without disrupting the flow of the day.

Due to a slightly longer journey we had a limited window for couple portraits before dinner. Having photographed Crossbasket Castle before , I already knew exactly where to go, allowing me to make the most of the time while keeping everything relaxed for Hannah and George.

Riverside & Castle Portraits

We headed down the riverside path which is a quiet and secluded area of the Crossbasket Castle grounds. It offered Hannah and George a few peaceful moments together while I captured some natural portraits of them together. From here we worked our way back through the gardens for photographs using the castle as a backdrop. Just as we finished, the rain arrived which was perfect timing!

Speeches & Evening Celebrations

The speeches were full of lots of great  moments. After a short break, we stepped outside again to the fountain at the front of Crossbasket Castle for a few final portraits, adding a few evening shots to their selection of shots.

The evening reception was full of energy, with the dance floor filling quickly and guests of all ages getting involved from the very first song. It was the perfect ending to a joyful Crossbasket Castle wedding.

For couples planning their day here, Crossbasket Castle wedding photography offers incredible variety, from riverside walks and historic architecture to elegant indoor spaces, making it one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Glasgow
